The Coop is a fan site for the CS2 pet chicken. Owners register their bird and tap one button per event; the site keeps the record and adds the numbers up. Nothing is read from the game.
Every count on this site is a registration by an owner: Fed it, It hatched, Coat shown, Grown, It left. "Reported by owners" means exactly that. Counts are registrations on The Coop, not the number of pets that exist in the game, and the game publishes no odds.
Text in the game's voice is the game's own string, quoted as written. The egg's "week or so" is official. The three-week chick and pullet stages and the ninety-day hen come from a datamine and are marked as estimates until owners' reports replace them with medians.
Shares per coat appear once a breed passes 100 registered birds, rarity tiers once 1,000 birds with coats exist, stage lengths and feed timing once 30 owners have reported, and the names list once 100 birds are named. Below those, the page says so instead of showing a small number as a fact.
Steam sign-in only confirms who you are; the site never shows a SteamID. Owners choose whether their Steam name appears. Reminder email addresses are used for reminders and nothing else, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. Photos in the HatchBook stay on the owner's device.
The Coop is made by CSMarketCap, a CS2 price-tracking site, and runs on CSMarketCap's 3D viewer for the live bird. It is not affiliated with Valve. Write to [email protected].
