# The Coop (cs2pets.com)

> A fan site where owners of the CS2 pet chicken register their bird, keep its weekly rations clock and share its card. Every number on the site is reported by owners through one-tap events; nothing is read from the game. Made by CSMarketCap, not affiliated with Valve.

Facts about the CS2 pet chicken, from the game's own text:

- The pet was added in the Rush Hour update (22 Sep 2026). Prime accounts get one Chicken Egg from the Weekly Care Package; one pet per account.
- The pet lives in the nest beside the agent on the main menu. It is not in the Steam inventory, cannot be traded or sold, and has no inspect link.
- Four life stages: egg, chick, pullet, hen. The egg hatches "in a week or so" (official tooltip). Chick and pullet stages of about three weeks each and a hen life of about ninety days are a datamine claim, not confirmed.
- Three breeds and 34 coats: Catalana 13, Silkie 9, Polish 12. The coat shows when the chick becomes a pullet. The game publishes no odds.
- Feed comes from the Weekly Care Package; the weekly reset is Tuesday 17:00 Pacific. A pet that is not fed leaves; the game's farewell for that reads: "Your pet has accepted a position elsewhere. The offer included meals."
- Pets can be named from the chick stage (up to 20 characters) and wear ten photo-booth hats.

- 0 birds with a known coat. Per-coat counts appear on each coat page once a breed passes 100 registered birds; rarity tiers once 1,000 birds with coats exist.
