Giveaway rules
Free to enter with a Steam account and, when a giveaway asks for it, a bird on The Coop. One entry per person. Winners come from a public random seed anyone can check. Prizes are traded to the winner within 48 hours of a valid claim.

Who can enter
Giveaways on The Coop are run by [CSMarketCap legal entity, address]. They are free to enter. No purchase is needed and nothing you do on the site or in the game changes your odds.
You enter by signing in through Steam and pressing Enter in the giveaway’s entry window. Each giveaway has its own rules, checked when you press Enter: a registered bird on The Coop, a minimum Steam account age, a minimum CS2 playtime, CS2 Prime, or a human check. Account age and playtime are read from your public Steam profile; a private value counts as not met. Prime is your own declaration, made by entering, and is checked before a prize is sent. The window does not say which check an account failed.
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and entering must be legal where you live.
One entry
One entry per Steam account and per person. A second account on the same connection or device is removed before the draw; the earliest ticket stays. Where a giveaway says so, one entry per connection: we match a salted hash of your IP address and never keep the address itself.
Entries are re-checked when the giveaway closes. An entry that no longer meets the rules, or that failed the human check, is removed. Removed ticket numbers and the reason are published without names.
How winners are drawn
The same procedure for every giveaway, published so that anyone can repeat it.
- 1Entries close at the end time. Tickets are numbered in the order they came in.
- 2Duplicates and rule failures are removed. We publish the removed ticket numbers and reasons, without names.
- 3The ticket list is fixed. We publish its SHA-256 hash before the seed exists.
- 4The seed is the first drand quicknet round after close, a public randomness beacon nobody can know in advance.
- 5Winner = HMAC-SHA256(seed, list hash + ":" + i) mod the remaining tickets, one pick per winner. Every draw is published at /giveaways/‹slug›/draw.json with the ticket list, so anyone can recompute it.
Claiming a prize
Winners are shown in the giveaway’s entry window and emailed when we have an address. A winner has 7 days from the draw to claim by adding a Steam trade URL in that window. We send the trade within 48 hours of a valid claim; accept it in Steam.
We never ask for your Steam password, a sign-in code or any payment. A prize not claimed within 7 days goes to a new draw with the next drand round, replacing only the unclaimed winner. A prize cannot be exchanged for money.
Exclusions and countries
A giveaway may exclude countries where it cannot legally run; entries from those countries are refused. People who work on The Coop or CSMarketCap, and their households, cannot enter.
We may remove an entry or withhold a prize for a second account, an automated entry, a false Prime declaration or a Steam account under a trade ban. Decisions on excluded entries are final; write to [email protected] if you think one is wrong.
